Ella's 2nd BIrthday

Ella is now sleeping quietly after a long exciting day. We had a great birthday party for her today (Saturday Sept. 29). Lots of friends and family came and enjoyed the swimming pool and Dora bouncy house. Ella and her friends got lots of goodies out of a Pinata they took turns swinging at. Ella was a little overwhelmed but handled it all very well. She had Beck help her open her presents and he happily obliged. We are so glad everyone could make it and we thank you all for the gifts and birthday wishes. Nonnie, Aunt Lanie, Reagan and Stevie made the drive from Dallas and Ella was glad to see her family.

Ella's Summer

Ella will be 2 on October 1st so as we approch the end of summer and her birthday I thought I would put up some pictures of her this summer. Ella loves shopping (I don't know where she gets that from). She insists on walking through the stores. She thinks she is an adult, and has quite a mind of her own.

Ella got this four wheeler for christmas and seems to enjoy riding it. It is hard to tell if she really does, because she is very serious while she is on it. Uncle Amos also got a 4-wheeler this summer. While the boys took turns riding, Ella did not want to be left out. She tried hard to keep up, to no avail.

We got a really great deal on a swimming pool for the backyard so Ella has become quite a fish. She also took her second year of Swimming lessons with Grandma at the Kyle pool. She loves to go"simming". We are also working on her cheerleading moves.

One of the most exciting things that happened to Ella this Summer was getting her own room. Grandma worked very hard fixing up the spare room in our house to make it suitable for Ella. These pictures are of the first time she saw it finished. She is very happy to have her own space. (So am I) We are still working on sleeping there all night. Thank You Grandma!

Ella loves to feed the koi and goldfish PaPa is raising in his cement pond.

The 4th of July was very eventful for us.
Ella had her first trip to the emergency room, where she recieved 11 or 12 stitches on her hip.
We made it back in time for a small fireworks display by PaPa, luckily he didn't hurt homself.
