Harvest Festival and Other Weekend Activities

This weekend was the Annual Harvest Festival in Uhland. Ella is just the right age to participate in the activities. The duck pond, cakewalk and ring toss were big hits, but for some reason she was afraid of the fishing for prizes. I guess the large sheet that you toss the clothes pin "hook" over was casting some weird shadows.

We also celebrated Mom's (grandma's) birthday Friday evening. When Michael and I asked Ella what she would like to get Grandma for her Birthday, she quickly recommended a puppy and then as an afterthought decided Grandma needed some "Choc'late" milk as well. So we went shopping, and selected a stuffed dachshund wearing a green sweater and a couple of pints of chocolate milk (one for Ella too.)

Ella and my camera spent some time with Grandma, Papa, Amos and Kristen on Sunday evening. I got Ella back safe and sound, but found evidence on my camera that she had been riding around with Amos on the 4-wheeler.

We also had a birthday dinner for all the October Birthday's at Grandma Doris' on Sunday. Grandma Doris set a special table just for Ella. It was very cute, but she still didn't eat.

I am so jealous of Ella! She got her own table at Grandma's? Man, what can I do to get that kind of service next time? I suppose it wouldn't matter if she served me table scraps on the floor, I wouldn't let any go to waste.
